James A. Ramus

He was a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School and Penn State University. Jim worked in several Banks in the Harrisburg and Baltimore areas. In later years he was employed by the Harrisburg YMCA.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents Joseph J. Ramus and Sophie (Markowski) Ramus of Harrisburg. He is survived by his sisters, Mary Jo Ramus, of Phoenix, AZ and Christine A. Burke (Michael) of Harrisburg; his brother, Joseph C. Ramus (Christine)of New Cumberland; also surviving are nephews, Gregory Handley (Shawna), of Etters, Matthew Handley (Linda), of Scottsdale, AZ, Jason Handley, of Etters, and Timothy Burke (Felicia), of Harrisburg; and nieces, Jennifer Valley, (Daryl), of Hummelstown and Samantha Ramus, of Lemoyne.

“May your spirit soar in freedom from the fears that gripped so tight. May you find the peace you searched for as you wandered, lost, in the night.”

Our paths will one day cross again with Jim’s and we look forward to a grand reunion.

Services to celebrate Jim’s life are planned for a later date.
