John F. Cauffman

John was born November 21, 1919 in Waynesboro; he was the son of the late John F. and Lottie (Shaffer) Cauffman Sr; and was preceded in death by his wife, Amy B. Cauffman

He was a retired Traffic Control Specialist for the PA Department of Transportation, and a U.S. Army veteran of WWII.

He was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, Robert Burns Lodge 464 F&AM, Harrisburg Consistory, and a former member of the Rutherford Lions Club. He was a former secretary for 30 years for the Harrisburg Masonic School of Instruction.

John loved spending time with his family and his kitty Bella.

Surviving is his daughter, Barbara K. Berkey, her husband, Chester, of Fishertown; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Bahner Cauffman, of Harrisburg and Roderick Cauffman, of Waynesboro; and 3 sisters, Margaret Wile, of Florida, Jeannine Brown, of Rouzersville and Charlene Butts, of Chambersburg.

A viewing will be held 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 9, 2013; a Masonic Service will be at 7:45 PM, and also a viewing at 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Thursday in the Trinity E.C. Church.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 10, 2013 in the Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, 165 N. 67th St., Rutherford. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
