Jose Correa

Jose “Toñito” Correa, 69, of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born on August 18, 1956, in Ponce, Puerto Rico to the late Pablo Correa Cedeño and Joaquina Castro.

Jose married his loving wife, Carmen, on August 31, 1991. He was a devoted father and friend who loved to help others. He was an excellent handyman and a true jack of all trades. He could fix or build anything and was everyone's first call if something in your house needed fixing. He loved watching NASCAR and baseball. Among the many things that made him special was his unwavering loyalty to his favorite coffee mug. If that mug could talk, it would tell stories of laughter, quiet mornings, and a life well-lived. Most importantly he loved spending time with his family and traveling!

Jose is survived by his wife, Carmen; his children, Jennifer Correa of Bressler, Joshua “Anthony” Correa (America) of Harrisburg, Emily Rivera (Heriberto) of Harrisburg and Graziella DeVita of New Cumberland; his grandchildren, Daryan, Levi, Lee’Yani, Joshua and Elias; brothers and sisters Pedro Rivera, Jesus Rivera, Carmen Rivera (Luis Ayala), Lucy Rivera, Maria Rivera, Raphael Correa, Pablo J Correa Cortes, Milagros Correa Cortes, Rosa Correa Cortes and Teresa Correa Cortes; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Pablo Correa Cedeño and Joaquina Castro and brother Geraldo Correa Cortes.

A viewing will be held on December 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Neil Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St, Harrisburg, PA 17111. Funeral services will follow at 12:45p.m., with a burial at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 4855 Londonderry Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17109.
