
Joseph E. Killinger, 78 of West Hanover Twp. went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 5, 2010 at Community General Osteopathic Hospital. Joe was born in Hbg, PA, son of Robert and Miriam Killinger. He was preceded in death by his brother Ronald Killinger and sister Betty Schreffler. Joe worked at Stanley Spring Works/Dayton Parts as a maintenance supervisor for 40 years. In 1989 he opened his own inspection station. Everyone knew him by his love for racing. Joe led the way in pioneering alcohol carbureted Sprint cars. He was the owner of the famous Stanley Spring Works #111 Sprint car. His hobbies were hunting and fishing and he was an avid fan of NASCAR Racing. Joe loved the Lord and attended New Hope Brethren in Christ Church. His desire in life was to always make people happy everywhere he went. He also loved his Border Collie Sadie who stayed with him in the hospital day and night. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Nancy Lingle Killinger and his children Susan Knaub, Kathryn Killinger, Barbara Smith, Lori Baughman and son, Joseph M. Killinger. Joe has 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry Street, Hbg., Pa at 1:00 pm, and services at 2:00 pm Friday, December 12,2010. Pastor Vernon Bosserman will be officiating. Burial will be at the Woodland Memorial Gardens, 4855 Londonderry Road, Hbg.
