Joseph Popnik

Born January 14, 1935 in New Philadelphia; he was the son of the late Matthew and Catherine (Kaminsky) Popnik; and preceded in death by his siblings, Peter Popnik, Veronica Rompalo, Helen Remeikis, Bernice Ciarvella and Albert Popnik.

Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Marlene A. (Borst) Popnik; nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Joseph was a retired corporal for the PA State Police and a U. S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

Joseph was a member of St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church and the Lawnton American Legion Post 998.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, October 7, 2022 at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, 4000 Derry St., Harrisburg. Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A visitation will be from 10:00 AM Friday until the time of the service at the church.
