

Born on Ulupalakua Ranch, Maui, Hawaii, Louis was the last surviving child of Lui Kane and Emily (Duarte) Kane. He retired as a supervisor with the postal service in Harrisburg. He was also a veteran of the Korean and Viet Nam wars.
Louis, known by many as “Mr. Hawaii” was an avid golfer and also enjoyed spending time with his friends at Central Penn Fitness Center. He was best known for his cheerful disposition and his great sense of humor.
Louis was preceded in death by his son Carl C. Kane. Surviving are his wife Anna Jeanne Kane, sons, Louis S. Jr., Michael J., Richard P., Jeffrey J., Anthony J., and Martin A., all of Harrisburg, and two daughters, Karyn L. Malone of Houston, Texas and Lisa A. Anastasi of Harrisburg. Louis leaves behind 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 15, 2010, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. Burial will in Resurrection Cemetery.
