
Sister Alma Dolorine Taylor, SSJ, 78, of Harrisburg, Pa, died on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 in Chestnut Hill Hospital, Chestnut Hill, PA.
She was born Clara Ann Taylor on September 2, 1932 in Westernport, MD the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (O’Neill) Taylor.
She was a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph, Chestnut Hill, PA for 57 years. As her ministry during her nineteen years at Holy Name of Jesus Parish, Harrisburg, Sister Alma visited the sick.
She is survived by three sisters, Margaret Everline and Rose Naughton of Westernport, MD, and Catherine Rice of Keyser, W.VA, asister-in-law, Hilda Taylor of Westernport, MD and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters: John, Joseph, James, Robert, Daniel, Barbara Taylor, and Sister Perpetua Taylor, SSJ
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, February 28, 2011at 3:00pm with visitation from 1:30pm to 3:00pm at St. Joseph Villa, Flourtown, PA followed by burial in the Congregational Cemetery.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 6190 Allentown Blvd., Harrisburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph, 9701 Germantown Ave., Chestnut Hill, PA 19118.
