Born November 20, 1930 in Reynolds, PA, he was the son of the late William Franklin Hill and Carrie (Meinhart) (Hill) Roshon and preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; a sister, Marie Serfass; and four great grandchildren.
Surviving is a daughter, Donna M. Czupil and her husband, John P. Lutz; son, William R. Hill Jr. and his wife, Bernadette; granddaughter, Beth-Ann R. Czupil-Eanes and her husband, Benjamin Eanes; and two great-grandchildren.
Bill was a retired Glazier for Pittsburgh Plate Glass (PPG), a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War and a member of St. Ann’s Byzantine Catholic Church. He was a member of the Blue Moon Cruisers and a member of Union Local 252.
After retirement, he worked for Sun Motors, Harrisburg Auto Auction, Avis and a courier company. His passion was cars, from building, restoring and collecting, to being an avid fan of sprint car and NASCAR racing. Traveling to Las Vegas was a passion and participating in a dinner club with friends was a joy.
Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at St. Ann’s Byzantine Catholic Church, 5408 Locust Ln., Harrisburg. Burial will immediately follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A viewing will be from 10:00 AM Wednesday until the time of the service at the church.
