William R. Maher, 76, of Harrisburg, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2011, with his daughter by his side.
Born May 29, 1935, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Leo and Urilla Maher. He was preceded in death by his wife Judy A. Maher.
Bill graduated William Penn High School and served in the U.S. Army as a cook.
He worked for Capital Products and then retired from Fry Communications.
Bill’s passion was painting and drawing and tinkering in his studio.
Surviving are his brother Henry Maher, his daughter Heather Maher Hile and his grandson Mitchell H. Hile, U.S. Navy. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Service arrangements will be made at the convenience of the family at a later date.
