Bunny and I met when we both taught in the HCPS.  We enjoyed each other, and she was always a delight.  I know she brightened many, many lives; and I will always remember her as an outstanding teacher, a fine friend, and a grand lady.  Eunie Powell

Ms. Arrington was my 4th grade teacher at Lucy Simms.  She was always so nice.  It was always nice to go back to Harrisonburg during John Wesley's Homecoming programs with my children and grandchildren and talk with her.  My children were always amazed at what a lovely lady she was.  To the family, may you always remember the good times you had with Ms. Arrington.

I spent many years with Miss Arrington , once a week for at least 25 years she would come to me to have her hair done and we would laugh and cut up talking about anything and everything. You will be greatly missed but I will always remember our times together.

I met Ms Arrington at the Dialysis center. At that time she was having her treatments on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday afternoons, and my brother had his in the mornings. So while she waited her turn we would often talk about her beloved North Carolina and the family she loved so much. (Of course we often debated which was the best North Carolina Bar-B- Que).I had traveled in North Carolina a lot and knew of the towns and  places she spoke of.
I think she changed her treatment day/time shortly before my brother joined his Heavenly Father in March of 2013. So I missed the visits we shared.
Just wanted you to know, that our prayers are with you during this period of her everlasting life, and that even as a patient, she took time to make others feel better about themselves.
Will always remember the story she shared with me about her feelings in leaving her beloved North Carolina to take her first job as a teacher at Lucy Simms, what a great day it must have been for Lucy Simms to gain such a dedicated person.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Ms. Arrington's family. She was a great teacher and I have fond memories of her and of Spotswood Elementary that will be with me the rest of my life. God is great and now she is in the company of Christ and for this we can rejoice!

There are a few people for each of us that stands out in our lives as exceptional people.  Mrs. Arrington was one of those people for me.  She cared, she taught and she loved.  My thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones.

Ms. Arrington was one of my favorite teachers. And the only teacher in town to have taught all four Cason girls--which says a lot since there are 17 years between the oldest and youngest. And we all loved her. The time spent in her class was memorable. We had fun, felt loved, and learned a lot. She was a gift.

I was deeply saddened to hear about Bunnie's death and wish to express my sincere sympathy to the family.  She was a wonderful lady and a devoted teacher who loved her students.  I know, because she taught my daughter at Spotswood Elementary School.  When I called my daughter last night and informed her of Bunnie's death, she said "Oh, I'm so sorry.  She was my favorite elementary school teacher."
I also enjoyed being in the Valley Association of Retired Educators with Bunnie.  For many years she faithfully served as Chairperson of the Sunshine Committee.  She sent get-well, thinking of you, and sympathy cards to members and or family members in times of need .  She faced adversity with a positive attitude and a warm smile.  We give thanks for her life and will miss her very much.

Sendind the deepest of sympathies to one of my favorite teacher's family and friends.  Words cannot express how much I loved Miss Arrington in school and how she stuck up for me, a bullied child.  It was always nice to see her after I had her as a teacher in third grade.  When I worked at the mall, sometimes I would see her "Mall Walking" early in the mornings. Vera, William, and family, my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. I loved Bunnie's independent spirit and "spunk", and wonderful memories of her is what will get you through the days and years ahead. From the first time that I met her until the last time that we spoke on the phone, she just felt like family. Be comforted in knowing that Bunnie lived life to the fullest. Even though we will miss her, she is free from a body that was holding her back because like always, she had things to do!  Love you.

Mrs. Arrington was my third grade teacher in 1979 and I still remember her fondly.  She was always very pleasant when I ran into her around town as an adult and always remembered who I was.  She was a remarkable lady!

I am so sorry for the lost of the most gracious and sweetest person I ever met.  Miss Arrington was my third grade teacher.  She taught me it did not matter who you were, what color you were, or your status in life God created us equally.  I have kept those thoughts and traits with me throughout my life.  Whenever I saw her out she always had a smile, hugged me, and asked me about my life in general. If everyone could have the upbeat and positive attitude as what Miss Arrington had, this world would be a lot better place.  Rest in Peace My Favorite Teacher and Friend.  You will always have a special place in my heart. I only hope my life can be as fulfilling as your life has been to me.

I am very sad to hear of Ms. Arrington's passing.  She was my teacher at Spotswood Elementary School and my favorite teacher of all time!  Every time I'd see her out, she recognized me off the bat and gave me the biggest smile and hug.  She made a huge impact on my life and I will be forever grateful.  Thoughts and Prayers to friends and family. She will be missed.

Our deepest condolences to the family of Ms. Arrington. She was our fourth grade teacher at Lucy F. Simms School in Harrisonburg, Va. She was a lovely lady and a dedicated teacher.
