

He was born October 15, 1932 in Mountain Valley, VA and was the son of the late Ernest and Lelia Morris Lam.
Amos served in the U.S. Air Force. He was employed at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, Rocco Building Supply and Howell Metal. He retired from Howell Metal
after working there for many years.
He is survived by his former wife, Mable L. Hensley; two sons, Amos Lam, Jr. of McGaheysville and Mike Lam of Harrisonburg; two daughters, Kelly and husband, Charlie Redifer, Jr. of Weyers Cave and Jacqueline Landes and companion, Kenny Morris of Elkton; fourteen grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his children, Wilma Deviers, Eva Rogers, Lester Lam, and Bobby Lam; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends, Wednesday, November 19, 2014 from 6 – 8:00 pm at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Lindsey Funeral Home with Pastor A.D. Tice officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank the staff at Sentara-RMH 5th floor, Stroke Unit, especially Charlie and Jennifer Bryant NP, for their generous help and concerns for our father.
