Dr. Arthur Harold Rogers, Jr.

He was born on June 23, 1939, at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Va., and was the son of the late Col. Arthur H. Rogers and Elsie Hunt Rogers.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Peters Rogers; two children, Lila R. Swenson of Culver City, CA and Frederic “Eric” T. Rogers and wife, Shelly, of Chico, CA; his grandchildren, John “Finn” Swenson, Kiri Swenson and Eva Nixon-Davis; two brothers, Charles H. Rogers and wife, Joan, of Halifax, MA and William H. Rogers and wife, Christine of St. Augustine, FL; and a sister- in- law, Sherry Peters Hood of Harrisonburg.

A graveside service will be held at Fair View Cemetery, in Roanoke at a later date.
