

He was born on April 13, 1940 in Harrisonburg and was the son of the late Roy Lee and Dorothy Highdecker Turner.
Bobby lived his entire life in Harrisonburg and attended Harrisonburg city schools. He was employed with Mick or Mack for 35 years as manager of the meat department and retired from Shenandoah’s Pride Dairy. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and B.P.O.E. #450.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou, whom he married on April 19, 1959 in Hagerstown, MD.
Also surviving are daughters, Terrell “Terry” Shifflett and husband, Kenneth, of Broadway, Faith Turner of Stanley; a granddaughter, Krystal Flick and husband, Chase, of Broadway; two great-grandchildren, Lani and Landon Flick; and his special cat, Mr. B. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
The family will receive friends 5-7:00 PM, Monday evening, October 13, at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 14, at the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Glen Early officiating. Burial will be at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
