Carol Sue Wimer Roadcap

She was born on December 14, 1940 in Cherry Grove, WV, and was the daughter of the late Cam and Euthel Helmick Wimer.

Carol graduated from Bridgewater High School moved to Harrisonburg area in 1956; she was employed with Tyco before retiring in 2001 and was a member of the Laurel Hill Full Gospel Church in Verona.

On October 13, 1956 she married Robert C. Roadcap, Sr., who preceded her in death on October 29, 1991. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa L. Roadcap; and a sister, Betty Redifer .

She is survived by sons, Robert C. Roadcap, Jr. of Kearneysville, WV, Tommy A. Roadcap of Fulks Run, daughter, Sherri D. Cavanaugh of Staunton; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert E. Wimer of Mt. Crawford, Berlin J. Wimer of Dayton; sisters, Dorene Cobb of Lakeland, FL, Arlene Thompson of Richmond, Helen Shipe of Singers Glen; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 6-8:00 PM, Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.

A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, April 5, at Laurel Hill Full Gospel Church with Rev. William Strickler and Rev. Kenneth Lott officiating. Burial will follow in Port Republic Cemetery.
