Cecil Charles Liskey Sr.

He was born May 26, 1927 in Rockingham County and was the son of Claude E. and Carrie Mundy Liskey.

He was a truck driver and worked at Shenandoah Manufacturing. He also served in the U.S. Marines. He was a member of the Harrisonburg First Church of the Brethren.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Smith Liskey. They were married on April 29, 1949.

Also surviving are six children, Joyce L. Hall (Bob), Charlie Liskey, Jr. (Sharon), Mike Liskey (Sathena), Sharon L. Barrix (Ray), Maribeth Liskey (Linda), and Jeff Liskey (Julie); nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Betty Blue Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were four brothers and four sisters.

The family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 13, 2015 at the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Beth Jarrett officiating. Burial will follow at Vision of Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery, located at 1723 Port Republic Rd. Harrisonburg.
