Daniel C. Pollard

Daniel C. Pollard, 65, of Rome, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Rome Memorial Hospital. Born in Gorham, Maine on November 5, 1953, he was the son of the late Frank T. and Virginia Pollard. Danny enjoyed animals, especially dogs, and liked watching squirrels at the feeder outside his home. He loved Christmas music and holidays, and appreciated simple foods like hot dogs and hamburgers at summertime cookouts. He was a fan of vehicles of all types, trucks and trains being his favorites. He looked forward to weekly calls from his mother and later, his sister, who would read him their favorite stories and sing songs together. He was a humble and helpful man, with a broad smile, who inspired loyal affection in the many lives he touched. He is survived by a sister, Lucy Pollard-Gott, and her husband; one niece and her husband, and two grand-nieces. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 15th at 2:00 p.m. at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Monday prior to the service from 1-2:00 p.m. Interment will be at St. Jacob's (Spaders) Lutheran Church Cemetery.
