Donald Lee Foster

He was born on April 10, 1941 in Rockingham County and was the son of the late Jesse M. Foster and Naomi Foster Conley.

Donnie attended Montevideo High School and completed his education after joining the Army, where he served ten years. He was employed with Reynolds Metals Company for 30 years before retiring and was a member of the Grace Memorial Episcopal Church in Lynnwood and the Rion Bowman VFW Post #632.

On September 15, 1962 he married the former Patricia A. “Pat” Thompson, who survives.

He is also survived by a son, Jeff Foster and wife, Beth, of Fredericksburg; a granddaughter, Lisa Dawn Foster and fiancé Ryan Wilcher; a great-grandson, Cody; two nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald “Butch” Foster.

Honoring his request, he will be cremated.

The family will receive friends 1-2:00 p.m., Friday, February 26, 2016 at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg and a Memorial Service will be held 2:00 pm, with Rev. Wayne Wright officiating. Inurnment will be at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens following the service.
