Donna Faye Halterman Minnick

A daughter of the late Hayes and Mary Newland Halterman, she was born on Aug. 11, 1951 in Rockingham County and attended school in Broadway. She had also made her home in Harrisonburg prior to moving to McGaheysville. Donna was a homemaker and loved to plant and tend to her flowers.

On June 17, 1968 she married Warren H. Minnick, Jr. who survives her.

Also surviving are two sons. Matthew R. Minnick of McGaheysville and Mark A. Minnick and his wife Becky, of Fulks Run; three granddaughters, Brittany, Kaitlyn and Taylor Minnick; two great-grandchildren, Landon and Skylar Ladd; numerous nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Ashley Nelson; two sisters, Audrey Hendricks of Fla. And Jenette Nelson of Rockingham County; and three brothers, Claude Halterman and Elwood Halterman both of Rockingham County and Lynwood Halterman of Maryland. One son, Michael Anthony Minnick, preceded her in death.

She will be cremated at the Lindsey Funeral Home and Crematory in Harrisonburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the McGaheysville Rescue Squad in Donna’s memory.
