Garry Howard Taft

He was born on December 1, 1941 in Elyria, Ohio and was the son of the late Howard and Georgia.

Garry graduated from Ohio Northern University and was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. Prior to moving to Harrisonburg in 2013, he lived the majority of his life in Florida, and was employed as a Pharmacist with Cunningham and Eckerd pharmacies. After retiring he enjoyed pastel painting and gardening.

On May 6, 1967 he married Libby Taft, who survives.

He is also survived by two daughters, Janna Taft Young and husband, Randy, of Harrisonburg; Elissa Taft Palamara and husband, Ryan, of Atlantic Highlands, NJ; three grandchildren, Alexander Young, Ryder and Elle Palamara; and his beloved Yorkshire terrier, Lexy.

Honoring his wishes, he will be cremated and all services will be private.
