Howard Richard Baugh

Howard Richard Baugh, 88, a resident of Brookdale Senior Living, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018. He was born on July 1, 1929 in Grafton, WV and was the son of the late William and Flora Goff Baugh. Howard was a Tech Sgt. in the US Air Force and retired after 20 years of service. He worked for the government for nine years, then owned and operated an upholstery business and later worked for Schewel’s Furniture. He was a member of Eureka Lodge #195 in Bridgewater and Memorial City VFW Post #3081 in Grafton, WV. On September 3, 1950 he married the former, Helenamae Dougherty, who preceded him in death on December 29, 2007. He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Richard Allen Baugh. He is survived by his four daughters, Linda C. Yahnke and husband, David, of White House, TN, Gail Cunningham and husband, Terry, of Harrisonburg, Donna Lane and husband, Scott, of Penn Laird, and Susan Baugh of Herndon; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marguerite Baugh of Grafton, WV, Virginia Zinser and husband, Ralph, of Midlothian; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Masonic Service will be held 3:00 pm, Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, June 18, 2018 at Woodsdale Memorial Park in Grafton, WV. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
