Jane Carol (Snell) Garber

Jane Carol Snell Garber, 73, of Rockingham, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Sentara-RMH Medical Center. She was born on July 22, 1945 in York, PA and was the daughter of the late Richard and Katherine Mundy Snell. Jane moved from York, PA and lived in Harrisonburg for the past 40 years. She was a charter member of Victory Fellowship Church and had been employed with Marshall’s in Bridgewater. On February 14, 1989 she married Weldon “Eddie” Garber, who survives. She is also survived by two sons, Jeff Grove and fiancée, Tammy Knott, of Verona and Jon Grove of Dover, PA; a daughter, Juanita Turner and husband, John, of Fulks Run; eight grandchildren, Danielle Strickler and husband, Carl "Bucky", Nicole Grove and fiancé, John Miklaucic, Amanda Turner, Devlyn Grove, John Turner, Jr., Payton Grove, Tanner Grove and Kylie Grove; two great-grandchildren, Riley Strickler and Adaline Strickler; two brothers, Rick Snell and wife, Janet and Butch Snell; four sisters, Linda Fahringer and husband, John; Donna Sliver and husband, Jim, all of York, Pa., Vickie Arroyo and husband, Jose’ of Fulks Run, and Kathy Snell of Harrisonburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Honoring her wishes, she will be cremated and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Victory Fellowship Church with Pastor W. L. “Sonny” Henkel officiating.
