A daughter of the late Jack and Florence Madden, she was born on May 12, 1935 in Keezletown. Miss Madden enjoyed the outdoors and gardening and was fond of fishing. She retired from JMU Food Service after 30 years.
She is survived by three daughters, Nancy Wright and Mildred M. Thomas, both of Harrisonburg; Esther Wright of Franklin, WV; one son, Lester McCall of Harrisonburg; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 Friday evening at the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at two o’clock Saturday afternoon, Feb. 18, from the Chapel of the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
