

She was born on March 27, 1924 in Rockingham County and was the daughter of the late Owen and Vergie Hilbert Heatwole.
Kathleen lived all her life in the Harrisonburg community and was a very active member at Garbers Church of the Brethren, where she participated in the choir and loved teaching Sunday school for over 40 years. She had been employed with Metro Pants and retried from SanCar Corporation in 1987. She enjoyed cooking and baking as one of her favorite pastimes.
On April 6, 1946 she married Arlie Wenger, who preceded her in death on September 20, 2005.
She is survived by a brother, Glen Heatwole and wife, Wanda, of Harrisonburg; brother-in-law, Prentiss Shifflett of Harrisonburg; and sister-in-law, Lula Heatwole of Harrisonburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four siblings, Dwight “D.C.” Heatwole, Charlotte Heatwole Marks, Jane Heatwole Shifflett and Roland Heatwole.
The family will receive friends 7-8:00 PM, Thursday, November 8, at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, November 9, at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Walt Crull officiating. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM, Friday, at Garber’s Church of the Brethren.
