Lloyd "Jack" Jefferson Rouse Jr.

He was born in Elkton on August 10, 1935 and was the son of the late Lloyd J. Rouse Sr. and Nellie Mae Reedy Rouse.

Jack graduated from Elkton High School and was a Senior Special Agent with the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles for 38 years before he retired. He served in the US Air Force and was a member of Masonic Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudia Page Foster Rouse on September 17, 2000. Also preceding him in death was a sister, Jean Shaffer.

Jack is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth “Jackie” Paige Rouse of Florida; granddaughter, Tara Elizabeth Rouse Crawford and husband, Trey, of Staunton; grandsons, Chad Denekas and Jeremy Van Huss both of Florida; great-grandchildren, Kelsey Dudash of Staunton; and Trinity Denekas of Florida.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. The casket will be closed.

A private graveside will be held at Elk Run Cemetery in Elkton with Pastor Paul Glovier officiating, followed by Masonic Rites by the Charles Franklin Shuler Lodge #74 A. F. & A. M. and Military Rites by Dayton American Legion Post #27.
