Lori Ann Yancey, 47, of Timberville, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019.
She was born on January 26, 1972 and was the daughter of the late Raymond E. Yancey, Jr. and Rosalie Herring Yancey.
Lori Ann was a lifelong resident of Rockingham County. She was employed at the farm of Wes and Janie Showalter. She loved her family and dogs and enjoyed her work at the farm.
She is survived by a son, Joseph Lee Yancey of Timberville; her companion, Bobby Cotner of Timberville; two brothers, Ray Yancey (Dianna) of McGaheysville, Tommy Yancey (Inger) of Elkton; three sisters, Rita Williams (Robert) of McGaheysville, Sandra Yancey of Elkton, and Judy Hoover (Larry) of Rockingham; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 6-8 pm, Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
A graveside service will be held 11 am, Friday, May 31, 2019 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in McGaheysville, with Pastor Danny Herring officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to offset unexpected funeral expenses.
