Lula "Toots" Virginia (Welcher) Shifflette

Lula “Toots” Virginia Shifflette, 99, of Harrisonburg passed away on October 5, 2021 at Choice Healthcare at Harrisonburg. She was born on November 11, 1921 in Fordwick, VA and was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Thelma King Welcher. Toots was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church and retired from Sancar in Harrisonburg. She enjoyed decorating her home and outside patio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Prentiss G. Shifflette; her sons, Roger Lee and Prentiss Lee Shifflette; a brother, Cecil Welcher and a sister, Loraine Thornton. Surviving are her sisters, Juanita Welcher and husband, William of Craigsville, Nellie Fridley of Staunton, Elsie Robertson of Craigsville, Jane Cale of Augusta Springs; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg is handling arrangements.
