Nellie "Begie" Kimble Shoemaker

She was born on July 13, 1923 in Upper Tract, WV, and was the daughter of the late Hugh and Lena Siple Kimble.

Begie was a graduate of Franklin High School and Catherman Business College in Cumberland, Md. She was employed with attorney K. C. Moore for 42 years before retiring. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Harrisonburg, Business Professional Women (BPW) and a volunteer with the RMH Auxiliary.

On December 31, 1955 she married John Paul Shoemaker, Jr., who preceded her in death on January 7, 1982.

She is survived by a sister, Maxine Heneberger of Harrisonburg; god-daughter, Jill N. May and husband, Charles, of Bridgewater; a nephew, Randolph Heneberger of Verona; three nieces, Barbara Bingham of Richmond, Gail Cicerini of Pennsylvania and Marti Murphy of Santa Fe, NM.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Mason.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 16, 2015, at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Brett Davis officiating. There will not be a visitation.
