Adrian Jesse Brewer

Adrian Jesse Brewer, age 83, of Speedwell, TN, was called home by his Lord and Savior early Sunday morning, February 26, 2017, at his home. Jay, as he was better known, was born on December 17, 1933 in Speedwell, the son of Robert and Harriett (Russell) Brewer. On January 4, 1966, he married Betty Lou Young of Lafollette. He was a member of Haynes Flat Baptist Church in Speedwell. Jay worked as a truck driver most of his life until he became disabled and retired. Jay loved the outdoors, camping, and truck driving. He especially enjoyed the sky in early mornings. He was preceded in death by his parents. Jay is survived by his wife, Betty Young Brewer; his daughter Robin (Carlos) Long; grandsons who he loved more than anything, Thomas Long and Stephen Long. Close friends include Terry Treece, James (Jim) A. and Ann Shipley. John (Hoagie) and Karen Claiborne, Stephen I. and Freda Rogers and many special family and friends.

Pastor Travis Dunn and Joe Jones will be officiating the service.

Pallbearers: Kyle Evans, Cody LeMarr, Quentin Rogers, Vincent Hopper, William Shipley, and John (Hoagie) Claiborne

Honorary Pallbearers: Terry Treece, James (Jim) A. Shipley, Jeff Dunn and Stephen I. rogers.

Friends and family will meet at 4:00 P.M. , Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at the Brewer Cemetery for graveside services. In lieu of flowers, please give to the Shriners Hospitals for Children or St. Jude Childrens' Research Hospital. Arrangements by Coffey Funeral Home .
