Brenda Evans

Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, January 31, 2017; she was 68 years old. She was preceded

in death by her parents, Ted Edwards and Odie Kelley Edwards, and her sister, Barbara

“Bobbie” Edwards.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in law, Ernie Evans, Jr. and Rita of

Speedwell, TN and Roger and Ora Evans of Camas, WA. She also leaves behind

sisters; Joyce and the late Eddie Newport of Speedwell, TN, Betty and Jessy Gregg of

Speedwell, TN, and Pam and Johnny Perkins of Speedwell, TN, and brothers; Larry

“Jack” and Millie Edwards of Speedwell, TN, Lonnie “Bull” Edwards of Chesapeake, VA,

Rev. Carl “Newt” and Gloria Edwards of LaFollette, TN, and Dan and Vanda Edwards of

Barboursville, VA. A host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends are also left behind.

She worked hard all of her life to provide for her family. She worked at the “shirt

factory”, Imperial Reading in LaFollette, TN, until its closing. She also worked at B&B

Texaco at nights and on weekends and later at Marvin’s Tire Barn. She loved to stay

busy with her hands and loved her family. She was always willing to get outside and

play with all the kids in the holler which brightened her life. She impacted many lives

with her humor and love.

The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 2:00 P.M. Saturday and services to follow

at 2:00 P.M. Saturday February 4, 2017 at Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Harrogate. Burial in the Edwards Cemetery.
