He was preceded in death by his Parents Herbert and Ruth Woods. Sister Patti Ann Chasteen. Father-in-law James Messer.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Jimmie Sue (Messer) Woods. Sons Michael Glenn Woods, James Michael Woods (wife Misty), Ben Kelly Woods (wife Samantha). Daughter Stephanie (husband Eddie) Rader. Brother Ben Woods. Sister Judi Woods. Mother-in-law Mollie Messer. Sister-in-law Linda Yoakum (husband George). Brother-in-law David Messer (wife Jennifer). Grandchildren Josh Clark, Zach Clark, Taylor Woods, Halie Woods, Michaela Woods, Abigail Woods, Mollie Woods, Khloe Woods. 5 Great grandchildren. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

He was a coal miner for 34 years, a loving father and grandfather. He will always be remembered for his big heart and love for helping people.
