Alan was born May 19, 1933 in Allegan County, Michigan and passed into eternity with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Wednesday, July 13, 2022.
He graduated high school in Bloomingdale, Michigan and was drafted in the Army where he served at Fort Hood, Texas. While serving in the Army, he met the love of his life of 63 years, Symantha Reeves Pearson. They were married in Longview, Texas and moved to Bloomingdale, Michigan upon marriage. Alan was a dedicated and loyal employee of the Bloomingdale Telephone Company where he worked and served as manager for 13 years. In 1973, Alan and Symantha made the move back to the South. Alan worked as a computer operator for Crystal Oil Company for over 20 years. During their retirement years, they enjoyed traveling with their RV serving as hosts in campgrounds and amusement parks across the Midwest and Southern United States.
Alan was a man who stood on principal, hard work, dedication to his family and loved his Lord. He guided his family with love and respect and exemplified those values to all that came in contact with him. He is greatly loved and cherished by his loving daughter, Annette. There hasn’t been a second in my life, Daddy, that I ever doubted your love for me. I will miss you until I see you again in Heaven. Until then, you will be remembered and loved every day. “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart” Ps. 37:4. His family was the love of his life and his kindness and gentle spirit will forever be remembered by those who knew him.
