Angela Marie Mathews Sprout, 47, of Haughton, Louisiana, went to be with the Lord, December 26, 2023. She passed peacefully at home with family by her side. Angela was born August 30. 1976 in Shreveport, LA to parents Michael Mathews and Sheryl Brown.
Angela graduated from Southwood High School in 1994. She continued her education at BPCC and at LSUS.
She knew Christ at an early age and was a member of Cypress Baptist Church in Benton, LA.
Angela was married to the love of her life and best friend Lynn Sprout Jr for twenty-six years, and to their union they have two beautiful daughters, Mckenna Grace Sprout and Raleigh Marie Sprout.
She was employed at Caddo Paint, later Spectrum Paint, until her health failed. She loved spending time with her family, and she loved studying the Bible. Angela also enjoyed listening and watching Christian podcasts along with listening to Christian music.
Angela was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Clyde and Ruth Mathews, maternal grandparents Claude and Anne Marie Smith, step-grandmother Verle Smith and step-father Dwight Brown.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Lynn Sprout Jr., two daughters Mckenna and Raleigh Sprout, her parents Michael (Carol) Mathews, Sheryl Brown, mother-in-law Linda (Michael) Lockwood, father-in-law Lynn Sprout Sr., siblings Nancy (Greg) Howard, Melissa (Troy) Brown, Melissa Smith, Donovan (Stephanie) Smith, brother-in-law Bobby (Jessica) Sprout, sister-in-law Callie (Mike) Force, and sister-in-law Kody (Bobby) Barbier. Numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family would like to thank everyone at Oschner LSU, Dr. Burton, Dr Guthikonda, Dr. Richards and staff at Gentiva Hospice.
Honoring Angela as pallbearers will be Bobby Sprout, Bobby Barbier, Donovan Smith, Bill Wallace, Jeff Pope, and Craig Simmons.

Services to be held at Hill Crest, 601 US 80, Haughton, Louisiana, Saturday, December 30.
Visitation 1-2 p.m. Service 2:00 p.m., with Pastor John Fream presiding.
