Ann was raised in Suffolk, Virginia and was a clerk for the State of Virginia for many years. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and loved her fur babies. She was classified an independent “Woman of all Trades”, and therefore, she taught herself many things that required her to be a fixer, repairer and decorator. She had a magical way of putting the final touches on any project and was known for her attention to detail. You could always find Ann goofing around and enjoying life. Some of her favorite time spent was with her family that she loved dearly. She enjoyed traveling and especially loved to feel the sun on her face and the sand between her toes.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Dorothy Beale; sister, Carolyn Miller and daughter, Mary Elizabeth Austin.
She is survived by her sons, Tommy Austin (Karen) and David Austin (Marcia), and daughter,
Jennifer Burgart. She is also survived by her brother, Thomas Beale, Jr. (Sybil) and Robert Beale (Faye); grandchildren, Tyler Burgart, Julie Schiller, Lindsey Austin and Bobbie Hansley.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to your local no-kill animal shelter or rescue organization.
Services will be held later in Virginia.
