Barbara Charolette Robertson, 87, passed away on February 14, 2026, surrounded by love. Born on January 4, 1939, in Kincaid, West Virginia, Barbara lived a long and meaningful life defined by devotion to her family, inner strength, and kindness that touched everyone she met.
Barbara was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the devoted wife of Jackie “Robbie” Robertson, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and partnership. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary with their family on December 24th, 2025.
As a selfless military wife, Barbara faithfully supported Jackie throughout his twenty-two years of service in the United States Air Force. With grace, resilience, and unwavering loyalty, she held the family together through every move, deployment, and chapter of military life, quietly serving her country in her own profound way.
She was the proud mother of three children: Jack “Rick” Robertson, Regina Lynn Robertson, and Brian Garland Robertson. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her greatest treasures, and she poured her heart into each generation with unwavering love and encouragement.
Barbara is lovingly remembered by her daughters-in-law, Cynthia Norton Robertson and Margaret “Maggie” Robertson.
From Cynthia and Rick’s family, she is survived by her grandson Chandler “Chad” Robertson and her great-grandchildren Kynlie, Dax, and Colton, who brought endless joy to her life.
From Brian and Maggie’s family, she is survived by her granddaughters, Hannah Robertson Schudalla and her husband Dakota Schudalla, their daughter Emerson Paige Schudalla, and Sarah Paige Robertson, all of whom she adored deeply.
Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Everett Mullins; her mother, Bessie Mullins; her brother Quenton Mullins; her sister, Mercedes “Merc” Simpson; and her sisters, Sylvia Warner, Thelma Mullins, and Dorothy Mullins.
Barbara dedicated part of her life to volunteer service, giving back to the community she loved. She was a long-time member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary, where she proudly supported veterans, their families, and the mission of honoring those who served.
Her volunteer work was another reflection of her selflessness, her patriotism, and her deep respect for the sacrifices of others.
Known for her “green thumb,” Barbara had a remarkable ability to bring life to anything she planted. Her home was always filled with vibrant greenery and beautiful blooms that thrived under her patient and gentle care.
She was also known for her kindness, unmistakable sarcasm, which remained strong even prior to her death, and her unwavering faith in God. She had a unique way of lifting others’ spirits, sometimes with a warm smile, sometimes with a perfectly timed remark, and always with a heart grounded in love and faith. Her beliefs guided her life and offered comfort and strength to everyone around her.
Barbara's love, wisdom, humor, and faith will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.
Graveside services celebrating Barbara’s life will be held on Friday, February 20th, at 10:00 am at Hill Crest Memorial Gardens in Haughton, Louisiana.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity of one's choice in honor of Barbara.
