

Bobbie Jean Deshoutel, age 81, was born on December 17, 1944, and peacefully departed this earth on December 28, 2025. She was a deeply loved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Bobbie was an avid reader whose love for the written word inspired a passion for books in many of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Though she was confined to her home for many years, she traveled far beyond it through the pages of her favorite authors.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Celus Deshoutel; her parents, Stanley and Bessie Herrington; her son-in-law, Michael McAnelly; her grandson, Joseph Lemons; her sister, Betty Sue Wiley; and her brothers, Chuckie and Robert Herrington.
Bobbie is survived by her three cherished daughters, Donna McAnelly, Debbie Brown, and Jodi Lemons; her son-in-law, Robert Brown; her grandchildren, Heather Bias (spouse Chris), Ashley Grantham (spouse Brett), Holly Fisher, Amy “Chrissy” Lemons, Luke McAnelly (spouse Kirsten), Brandon McAnelly (spouse Liz), and Clayton Brown (spouse Hannah); and her nine great-grandchildren, Caden, Kenzley, Hadley, Charley, Ava, Audrey, Magnolia, Denver, and June. She is also survived by her brother, Stanley Herrington (spouse Helen), along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Each weekend, Bobbie enjoyed watching The Pentecostals of Bossier City services online. In her final years, she resided at Cypress Pointe Nursing Home. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff for their compassionate care.
In keeping with Bobbie’s wishes, a private service will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Park in Haughton, Louisiana, on December 31, 2025.
Pallbearers will be Robert Brown, Luke McAnelly, Brandon McAnelly, Clayton Brown, Christopher Bias, and Brett Grantham.
