Carol had a full and rewarding life. She was the proud mother of four sons: Bob Washburn, David Forbis, James Forbis, and Rick Forbis, and a cherished bonus daughter, Kristi Tolsma. Her later years were spent working beside David at his tow company until her retirement.
Carol loved the beach and was always on the lookout for a good margarita. She was a huge fan of Elvis and enjoyed collecting Santas as Christmas was her favorite holiday.
Carol is survived by her sons Bob Washburn, David Forbis, James Forbis, and Rick Forbis, and her bonus daughter Kristi Tolsma. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Michelle Hayes, Kristi Shelton, Kara Naquin, Trevor Forbis, Kinley McCasland, Travis Washburn, Sherele Lisby, Ben Lisby, Mike Lisby, and Kenneth Jackson, along with numerous great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel, located at 601 Hwy 80, Haughton, Louisiana, 71037. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on February 26, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
