

Charles Larry “Bo” Vailes, 66, of Bossier City, LA went to be with his Heavenly Father on June 23, 2017 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer with his family by his side.
Funeral services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery in Haughton, LA on Tuesday, June 27 at 10 AM. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Monday, June 26, 2017. Officiating the ceremony will be Pastor Joan Mobley of Harrison, Arkansas.
Bo was born in Shreveport, LA on July 25, 1950 and was an amazing father, papaw, brother, and friend to many. Bo was a lifelong resident of Bossier City and graduate of Airline High School; he later became a skilled electrician with Garrison Electric Co. Although his time here on Earth was cut short, he lived life to the fullest and was a free-spirit who never met a stranger and always had a funny story to share. Bo enjoyed reading, grilling, and playing pool, but most importantly he cherished spending time with his precious grandchildren, early morning coffee chats with his sisters, and cheering on the New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers.
Bo is survived by his children, Katie and Jeff Crawford, Amanda Byrd, Jason and Melanie Vailes, Matthew and Melissa Vailes, Casie Vailes; grandchildren, Kourtney Crawford, Maggie Crawford, Alyssa Leigh Byrd, Gabby Vailes, Jacob Vailes, Jack Vailes, Makayla Vailes, Kaden Cash, Dakota Cash, and Olivia Grace Vailes; brothers, Roy, Ed, Ronnie, and Marty; sisters, Mary Ann, Patsy, Judy, Connie, Martha, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who were very special to him.
Bo is preceded in death by his parents, John Roy and Murcelee Vailes; brothers, Jimmy Wayne Vailes and Walker Eugene Vailes; sister, Donna Kay Vailes. Serving as pallbearers are Doug Vailes, Jerome Vailes, Bubba Lee, Joey Cook, Shane Byrd, and Edmond Ojeda. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons.
