I guess you heard that I went home on Tuesday morning. Brother Nunley taught me the way. I am looking forward to seeing Mama, Daddy, Max and my brothers and sister.
You know I am not big on all of this sad junk. I want you to remember the fun we had and how much I loved you.
I had a great life. I got to marry the girl that I always loved and have the best daughter any man could ask for. I got to drive a big truck for Southeastern every day, own my own business once, live in a big house with a pool, drink a cold beer and bbq for my friends and family.
I was able to take care of Mama until she died, play catch with my dog, Max and see my grandson, Reese take his first steps on the farm chasing the dogs. I loved to watch MaKenna play ball and Piper do her songs and dances.
I watched as Sarah inherited my love of softball and with her team at Elysian Fields win the Texas State Championship. I got to dance with my wife, Cat, in the kitchen while she cooked and sing to her before she fell asleep.
I got to have a lifelong friend and brother in Ken and the son I never had in Randie. I got to play golf with my friends in a cow pasture and in Maui with Cat. I got to go to a Nascar race and see the big boys run.
I got to watch my nephews grow up and become men with their own families and my nieces grow up to become mothers to their own children.
All in all I was a lucky man. So don’t cry for me. Remember the fun we had. Laugh about my stupid jokes and share the love that I felt for each of you with your family and friends. Live life with no regrets!
