Cynthia Ann Malcolm

Cynthia Ann Malcolm, age 62, of Stonewall, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025. She was born August 31, 1962, in Wichita Falls, Texas to the late James Lawrence and Eva Jewell Daigle Portz. Cynthia graduated in 1980 from Parkway High school, was an avid basketball player in junior high school and enjoyed bowling in a league with her whole family. She served this grateful nation by enlisting in the United States Navy. Cynthia was a medical transcriptionist with Will Knighton; where she retired following many years of dedicated services.

You could always find Cynthia reading her favorite books, sitting on the porch taking in the beauty that God has blessed us with, and cooking some delicious food. Cynthia loved getting to spend time with her grandchildren and always cherished those moments.

Left to cherish Cynthia's beautiful memory will be her significant other, Richard L. Smith, two daughters: Ashley Kirkley Malone and husband Clifton, Amye Lynn Martin and husband Joshua, five grandchildren: John Kirkley IV, Liliana Kirkley, Dayton Malone, Olivia Martin, and Archer Malone, four siblings: Patricia Morris and husband Gary, Dean Portz and wife Donna, William Portz, Elizabeth Portz Kieneker and husband Kevin, aunt, Rosemary Haworth and uncle, John Portz, along with many extended family members: cousins, nieces, and nephews, and a host of wonderful friends.

A visitation for Cynthia will be held Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 9:00 AM until time for her Celebration of Life service at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, 601 Hwy 80, Haughton, Louisiana 71037.

Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Hill Crest Memorial Park, 601 Hwy 80, Haughton, Louisiana, 71037.

Honoring Cynthia as pallbearers will be Joshua Martin, John Kirkley III, John Kirkley IV, Kevin Kieneker, Clifton Malone, Brian Malone, JJ James, and Shane Morris. Honorary pallbearer will be Richard Smith.
