David was 34 years old and was called Spanky by all of his friends and most of his family
He graduated from Haughton High where he played baseball, and trumpet in the band
David had that special gift of making everyone laugh and feel special and believed that God and
his family were all that really mattered at the end of the day.
Born as cute as can be he grew into a handsome man that never met a stranger !
David was preceded in death by his grandparents Doc and Thelma Lovett of Westlake and
Grandfathers Chester Bellard of Lake Charels and Grandfather Marion Bergeron of Leesville.
Uncles Doug and David Russell (namesake)Lovett and Aunt’s Dorothy Baggett and Deveina
Newman and cousin’s Nancy Wright and Colen Kessler. We know they will all welcome him with
open arms.
David leaves behind his wife Amber Cliff Lovett of Logansport and his dad and mom Doc &
Tonette Lovett of Haughton, his mother Alice Bergeron of Atlanta Georgia, and four siblings.
Chris and Wendy Lovett of San Antonio, Doc and Paige Lovett of Bossier, Michael and sister
Christina Payne of Haughton and brother Daniel Lovett of Haughton. Grand Mother Amy Bellard
of Lake Charles and Grand Mother Ann Bergeron of Leesville. With a multitude of Aunt’s and
Uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
David was a pipeliner and loved his work and will be missed by the thousands of people he
worked around over the past seventeen years, and never was lazy and David ever mentioned in
the same sentence.
The services will be officiated by Rev. Norman Pitts of Longview
Pallbearers will be Chris Lovett, Michael Payne, Robert Baggett, Doc Lovett Jr.,
Justin Baggett and baby brother Daniel Lovett, with honorary Tim Moore
The family wishes to thank everyone for all the support, condolences and prayers that were sent
from all over the world.
The good that men do, often live after them, the evil is interred with the bones, so let it be with
