

BOSSIER CITY, LA – Services celebrating the life of David Oscar Marshall will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park with military honors. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 29, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
David was born in Pittsfield, MA on December 20, 1960 to Ivan and Mary Marshall. He attended Lenox Memorial High School and upon graduation he joined the Air Force. He moved to Bossier City in the 1980’s with the Air Force Reserves and worked civil service with the 917th Unit at Barksdale Air Force Base until December 2016 when he retired. David loved to fish and to cheer on his favorite teams of LSU Tigers and Miami Dolphins. He was a veteran of Desert Storm.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Pamela Naquin and brother-in-law, George Van Zandt.
David is survived by his wife and soul mate of 16 years, Tammie Thomisee Marshall; sons, David “Zachary” Marshall, Joshua Wayne Marshall and Bryan Matthew Marshall; sisters, Sharon Vreeland and husband Al, Janice Boomsma and husband Walter, Peggy Van Zandt and Susan Hillebrand and husband Steven; brother, Robert Marshall and wife Sang Ye; father and mother-in-law, Wesley and Carrie Thomisee; brothers-in-law, John Thomisee, Jr. and wife Jennifer, Christopher Thomisee and Randall Naquin and sister-in-law, Yvonne Ruiz as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Randall Naquin, Christopher Thomisee, John Thomisee, Jr. and Jeff Robinson.
