Dianne M. Tharp

Bossier City, LA- Funeral services for Dianne Tharp age 75, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2011, at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Stanley A. Larson of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, where Mrs. Tharp was a Charter Member. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park.

Mrs. Tharp passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2011. She was born November 7, 1935 in Sisseton, SD to Orville and Luella Anderson.

Dianne worked for the Orange County School Board in CA, the Louisiana State Revenue Service, finally retiring from LSUS after many years working in accounting services. Some of her hobbies included; horseback riding (in her youth), reading, Bible study, and letter writing. She was also a huge fan of games shows including Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Being competitive in nature, she loved a good game of dominos, playing board games and working crossword puzzles. She also had an appreciation of music, the theater and fine arts. But most of all she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Mrs. Tharp was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Rhea Tharp; her parents, and two brothers, Cirel and Odeen Anderson. She is survived by son, Wendell Tharp; daughter, Beverly and husband Larry Keller Sr.; three grandchildren, Krystal Keller, Larry Keller Jr. and wife Ashley, Heather Keller and fiancé Sean Sabido; and two great-grandchildren, Avary Hingst, and Kale Owen Sabido.

Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Keller, Jr., Romerelo “Bubba” Guerra, Christopher Guerra, Prentis Guerra, Zachary McClain, Michael Foret, Michael Ranger, and Michael Keller. Honorary pallbearers will be; Jerry Keller, Sean Sabido and Stephen Gentry.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at WK Pierremont, especially David on the 7th floor, Mike at Samaritan, and WK Home Health. You all made her last few weeks comfortable, thank you for your care and compassion.
