Donald Richard Tuttle, 67, of Benton, Louisiana, was called home unexpectedly on his birthday Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at home. He was born on Wednesday, January 23, 1957, in Alexandria, Louisiana to the late David Earl and Selma Elouise Walden Tuttle. Ricky was a machinist with Libbey Glass and retired following forty plus years of dedicated services.
He spent every minute of the day outside taking care of his yard and pond. There was always something to "piddle" with as he would always say. Ricky also enjoyed cooking outside, fishing, hunting, camping, gardening and spending time with family.
Ricky was preceded in passing by his parents; and his brother Timothy Tuttle.
Left to cherish Ricky’s wonderful memories are his two girls: April Tuttle Graham and husband Bobby, Kelly Tuttle Jones and husband Sam; their mother, Brenda Tuttle; longtime companion, Vickie Thompson; two brothers: Ronnie Tuttle and wife Mitzi, David "Wes" Tuttle and wife Mary; a sister in law, Ann Tuttle; three grandkids: Joshua "Ely" Graham, Mackenzie "Tater", Mikaela "Little Turd" Kelly; bonus family: Tracey Fread and husband Chris, Angie Rhodes, Cameron, Katelynn, Madison, Tripp, Ryan, two nephews: Davy, Shane; three nieces: Tammy, Nicole, Melanie; along with many extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the responding officers, extended family and friends for the comfort, many prayers and condolences extended during this great time of need.
Memorials may be made in honor of Donald Richard Tuttle to the local Shriners; www.shrinerschildrens.org.
Ricky was loved and will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
The family will hold a private gathering at a later date.
