Donnie Barnett McGinty

SHREVEPORT LA- Services for Donnie Barnett McGinty, 84, will be held on Monday, February 10, 2014 at 12: 00 P.M. in Centuries Memorial Chapel with John Neilson and Billy Pierce officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery in Shreveport, Louisiana. The family will receive visitors form 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 9, 2014.

Donnie was born in Horatio, Arkansas on July 11, 1929 and passed away peacefully on February 7, 2014 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Donnie had a warm and great heart and loved to spend time with her family. She had a smile that was contagious and would warm a room.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Jewel Barnett; husband, Louis G. McGinty; son, James McGinty and a grandson, Brian Brazzel; sister, Byrdie Kirkwood. She leaves behind to cherish her sweet memory a son, Louis McGinty and wife Glenda, daughters, Peggy Meshell and husband David, Ronda Robbins; three sisters, Betha Mae Suggett, Mattie Choates and Molly Mitchell; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Honoring Donnie as pallbearers will be Terry Lewis, Trevor Lewis, Jamie Lindberg, David Lindberg, Shane Brazzel, JW McGinty, Curtis Ratliff and Richard Brazzel.
