She was an awesome grandmother. She loved baking with her grandchildren, spending time with them and their friends, and loved going to school programs, sporting events especially the Shreveport Mudbugs hockey games, and college graduations.
Doris was a registered nurse and dedicated twenty years working the Intensive Care Unit at Highland Hospital. She loved her job. She was also a philanthropist and made monthly donations to many charities.
Her greatest joy was spending time with family and her dog Jenny and gardening. She enjoyed watching sunsets over the Red River, going for walks, watching the variety of birds at her feeder, doing puzzles and word search books, going to concerts, watching movies and Andy Griffith, and traveling.
The family would like to thank Dr. Dan Moller Jr., Dr. Robert Hernandez, Dr. Ryan Bicknell, Dr. Corky Davis, Sherry Campbell and Jennifer Cameron Hart for many years of excellent care, and Darryl Moore for keeping her hair beautiful.
