Dorothy W. Nicholson

Services celebrating the life of Dorothy Walker Nicholson will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Cypress Baptist Church with Pastor John Fream officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Dorothy was born on May 5, 1937 in Minden, LA. and went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 20, 2021. She was a faithful woman and loved her church. She enjoyed going to the lake and camping. Her favorite time spent was always with her family.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Charlotte Bouillon; son-in-law, Joseph Bouillon; parents, B.A. and Thalia Walker; brother, Rodney Walker and brother-in-law, Donnie V. Cox.

Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, George Pierce Nicholson; daughters, Jeannine Rosson (Charles) and Stacy Gates; grandchildren, Stacey Philyaw (Larry), Brian Bouillon (Courtney), Melissa Causey (Dip), Jonathon Rosson (Lacy), Jason Gates (Teresa) and Josh Gates; great grandchildren, Ben Bouillon, Lainey Bouillon, Trevor Philyaw, Lexy Bouillon, Riley Causey, Tuff Causey, Easton Rosson, Savannah Gates; sister, Bettye Cox; sister-in-law, Anna Bealle Walker; great grand-dog, Sammie as well as several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Cypress Baptist Church Night to Shine.

The family would like to thank Dr. Jina Miller and her nurse, Debbie as well as Willis Knighton Bossier for the care they provided.
