

Frances Jo (Bryant) Bryan, 87, beloved mother, grandma, and great-grandma, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness at her home in Benton on Saturday, March 14, 2026, surrounded by her family. Visitation will be at Hill Crest Funeral Home on Sunday, March 22, 2026, 5-7 pm, with a private family graveside service the following day.
Frances was born March 24, 1938 to Cameron and Winnie Bryant. She grew up in Birmingham, AL where she attended Birmingham Baptist Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1959. She met the love of her life, CMsgt Robert W. Bryan (ret) on a blind date. She and Bob were married May 22, 1959 as he began his career with the US Air Force. His career took them around the globe, and Frances was the quintessential military wife. She quit working to raise their children but returned to nursing later and had a successful career at Bossier Medical Center before her retirement.
Frances is survived by her three children: Cammie Bryan (Mark Jacob), Tammie Bellotte (Steve), and Ty Bryan (Lynn). She is also survived by her grandchildren: Tiphanie Sumrall (Dustin), Rachel Korodan (Aaron), Nathaniel Bellotte (Elizabeth), Bryan David Bellotte (Katrina), Whitson Emory (Sarah Hostetter), and Robert “Bo” Emory. Frances is survived by brothers Ronnie Bryant (Ginger) and Alvin Bryant (Theresa) and sister Mary Jernigan (Glenn). She is also survived by great grandchildren Caroline and Molly Kate Sumrall, Daxton and Delaney Bellotte, Abigail and Emmelyn Korodan, and Hallie Jean Bellotte (expected in April).
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, her parents, brother Ed Bryant, sister Jess Bruner, and sister-in-law Lylia Bryant.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Nathaniel Bellotte, Bryan David Bellotte, Whitson Emory, Bo Emory, and grandsons-in-law Dustin Sumrall and Aaron Korodan.
The family wishes to thank Compassus Hospice of Bossier City for the loving care they provided the last two weeks.
