

BOSSIER CITY, LA – Celebration of life service for Frankie “PawPaw” Sparks, 76, will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mark Sparks and Bro. Luke Bissell officiating with burial to follow at the park. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 27, 2012 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Hill Crest Memorial.
PawPaw had a distinguished military career for over thirty years in the U.S. Army serving in Korea, Vietnam and Desert Storm. He loved his country and considered it an honor to defend it.
The greatest joy of his life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a faithful servant of Faith Baptist Church.
Frankie was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Rubye Sparks, one brother and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Mary Sparks, son Mark Sparks and wife Susan, grandson Eric Sparks and wife Leska, granddaughter Jennifer Bush and Rick Martin, great-grandchildren Kalyn, Mckinley and Grace Sparks, Caleb and Trenton Bush and one great-grandchild being born in January, and a sister Charlotte Davison.
Memorials may be made in Frankie’s name to the Faith Baptist Church Missionary Fund, 10525 Linwood Ave. Shreveport, LA 71106.
