PRINCETON, LA – Services for Fred Thurman, Jr. will be held at First Baptist of Haughton at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 30, 2012 with Pastor Wade Peddy officiating. Interment will follow at Haughton Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 29, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home.
Fred enjoyed horseback riding, motorcycle riding and being with his grandchildren and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Oree and Fred Thurman, Sr. and brother Donnie Thurman.
He is survived by his wife Clara Dale Thurman, son James (Bo) Thurman and wife Julie, mother of his only son Linda Thurman, grandchildren Cody Thurman, Corey Thurman, Callie, Leslie and Jamie McKeever, step-children Monica Huber, Brandi Calhoun, Rachel James and Zach Newsom and five step-grandchildren Cheyenne, Sean, Marisol, Waylon and Caleb.
Pallbearers will be Bill Small, David Walker, Robert Thurman, John Patterson, Ersel Holder and Gus Barber.
