Freddie Knotts Davis, 80, of Bossier City, LA, was born in Castor, LA, on December 12, 1942. She went to be with her Lord and Savior, entering into her eternal rest, on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at her home in Bossier City. She was a graduate of Castor High School and married her sweetheart, Jackie Davis, on March 25, 1960.
After retiring from her twenty plus years career with Bienville and Caddo Parish School Systems, Freddie enjoyed her weekly Bible study, reading, and antiquing, although spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids was her true joy. She was also a member of Bellaire Baptist Church and loved singing in the church choir.
Freddie is preceded in death by her parents, Louis Z. and Vera M. Knotts; and brother, Mack Knotts. She is survived by her husband, Jackie Davis; her children, Paul Davis (Carla), Sharon Hemphill (Bucky), and Scott Davis (Melissa Bolton); grandchildren, Luke Richardson (Melissa), Levi Richardson (Amber), Brandon Davis (Robyn), Allison Hallmark (Aaron), Chase Davis, Cameron Davis (Haley), and Cole Davis (Devin); great-grandchildren, Isaac, Ian, Elijah, Halle, Ezra, and Titus Richardson, Kinsey, Carter, Camp, Avery, Jack, Walker, Lyla, and Grace Davis, Andi and Ava Hallmark, Cameron and Caleb Lenard; sister, Peggy Wood (David); sister-in-law, JoNell Knotts; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Freddie are on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, followed by interment in Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive guests on Saturday evening from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Luke Richardson, Levi Richardson, Brandon Davis, Aaron Hallmark, Cameron Davis, Cole Davis, and Chase Davis. Honorary pallbearers are Freddie’s great-grandkids.
